World Record holder Liezel at the Paris Games

Liezel Gouws, the current world record holder in the 800m with a time of 2.41.70 under T37* in Paralympics is a veteran of two previous Paralympic games, Rio in 2016 and the 2020 Tokyo games – which were held in 2021 due to Covid-19. Liezel broke the record in 2015 in Johannesburg during the national championships.

On 29 July 2024, we caught up with some of the Bidvest employees who were heading to Paris after winning a fully paid trip to support Team South Africa during the Games. It was pure joy at OR Tambo International Airport – some employees were boarding a flight for the first time.

Louzanne Coetzee is poised for greatness in Paris

Paralympian, Louzanne Coetzee, who competes in the Women’s 1500m and marathon says she is ready to shine in Paris this year when the paralympic games starts. The T11 athlete is a world record holder of 5000m attained in 2017 within her category.

Father and daughter gear up for Paris games, thanks to Bidvest OPEX

Para-athlete, Simone Kruger, who competes in discus throw and shot-put events at international track and field competitions says she is ready to compete in Paris at the 2024 Games.
